Mount Snow weddings: ceremony and reception commitments
Town DoverType Mountain & ski
Mount Snow distinguishes the Wedding Garden’s 300 ceremony seats from the Grand Summit Patio’s 250-person cocktail arrangement. Carinthia Lodge accommodates up to 250 in its April–November season, while the Somerset Grand Ballroom is listed for 300 year-round. A ceremony maximum alone does not establish dinner seating.

Start with the package and food minimum as separate charges
Carinthia’s stated $5,000 package plus a $10,000 food-and-beverage minimum totals $15,000 before applicable taxes, service charges and extras. The minimum is a spending threshold, not a credit against the venue fee. A hypothetical 280-person ceremony would exceed Carinthia’s figure by 30 and needs another reception plan.

Mount Snow's wedding page places the Wedding Garden ceremony site at the base of the mountain, steps from the slopeside patio of the Grand Summit Hotel, with the soft slopes as the backdrop. It also says that when a wedding is hosted with the resort it offers a 10 to 20 percent discount on the best available rate at the time of booking for the couple and guests.
Mount Snow: the setting, and what couples plan around
The resort's wedding blog adds a nearby inn option, The White House, which it says can host up to 120 guests for a wedding with an outdoor tent recommended. The room discount is the concrete number to compare against booking a block elsewhere in the Deerfield Valley.
Mount Snow's wedding page gives the ceremony numbers. A stone pathway with flower-lined granite steps opens to seating for up to 300 guests at the Wedding Garden, and the adjacent Grand Summit Patio, a large flagstone area with a hand-laid stone fireplace, suits a cocktail or welcome reception for up to 250.
A venue package is listed starting at $5,000, including dining tables and chairs, display and cocktail tables, linens, china, stemware, cutlery, the ceremony site with chairs and a dance floor.
Mount Snow lists a venue package starting at $5,000. The useful comparison is not the headline number but what your caterer, bar and coordinator add to it. The hotel discount of 10 to 20 percent on the best available rate applies on top for guests.

Separate the ceremony maximum from the dinner proposal
Mount Snow's Wedding Garden seats up to 300 for a ceremony. The Grand Summit Patio is described for up to 250 at cocktails, while Carinthia Lodge is a different reception room for up to 250 from April through November. A 280-person ceremony therefore needs a reception option sized for 280; it cannot be assumed to fit the 250-person lodge arrangement. The Somerset Grand Ballroom is listed for up to 300 year-round.
Carinthia's published $5,000 venue package and $10,000 food-and-beverage minimum are different charges. If a proposal uses both at those amounts, the starting combination is $15,000 before any applicable tax, service charge or extras. The minimum is a spending threshold for food and drink, not a discount against the package fee. Ask which menu items and bar purchases count toward it.
The package lists furniture, linens, china, cutlery, ceremony chairs and a dance floor. Match those inclusions to the room you are pricing, including who installs and removes them. This calculation and room comparison use the resort's wedding information ; obtain the proposal for the specific season and guest count.
