A 180-person list fits some settings and exceeds others
The hypothetical group is 20 below Timber Hall’s maximum but 20 above the chapel’s and 120 above Hubert Haus. A chapel-and-hall booking therefore cannot use the hall’s 200-person figure for both events. Confirm the actual seating plan and lift/weather alternative for the selected combination before setting invitation times.

Stratton Mountain Resort offers several ceremony and reception settings. Its venue page lists Timber Hall and the Summit Deck for up to 200 guests, the Chapel of the Snows for up to 160, and Hubert Haus for up to 60. The summit settings use gondola access, while the chapel is a year-round ceremony option.
Stratton Mountain Resort: the setting, and what couples plan around
The seasonal distinction matters when choosing a space. Timber Hall, the Summit Deck and Hubert Haus are listed from Memorial Day through the end of October. A chapel ceremony in another month therefore needs a separately confirmed reception arrangement. Match the guest count to the individual room and the seated layout, including space for dancing, instead of treating the resort as one room.

Size the ceremony and reception separately
A 180-person group fits the stated 200-person limits for Timber Hall or the Summit Deck but exceeds the Chapel of the Snows by 20 and Hubert Haus by 120. That example shows why a resort-wide maximum is not a ceremony plan. Name the ceremony setting and reception setting separately, then confirm both for the same guest list.
The 60-person Hubert Haus option is a different scale from the 200-person Summit Deck. If a couple expects 55 guests, five additional acceptances would reach the stated Hubert Haus limit; a later increase would require another arrangement. Count everyone the venue requires in its occupancy figure before finalizing invitations.
The summit settings also add gondola travel to the itinerary. Establish the boarding period, where guests gather at the bottom and how the return fits the end of the event. Ask which part of the ceremony changes in rain or wind and where guests wait during that change. Seasonal availability, lift operation and seated room capacity need to agree on the chosen date.
For a chapel-and-Timber Hall plan, compare the 160-person chapel limit with the 200-person hall limit. A dinner list that fits the hall can still be too large for the ceremony. If the same 150 people attend both, the nominal headroom is ten places at the chapel and 50 at the hall; that arithmetic does not replace the venue's approval of the actual seating and aisle arrangement.
