Weekday and off-season pricing: cheaper Vermont wedding dates from published prices
Compare a different wedding date using the same guest list, package and payment terms. Boyden Farm’s 2027 weekend price rises from $7,095 in its shoulder windows to $9,750 in September–October. Mansfield Barn’s standard Saturday site fee is $6,500, against $4,500 midweek; early payment is a separate discount.
Put the dollar change beside the changed inclusions
Boyden’s difference is $2,655, about 37.4% of $7,095. Sleepy Hollow’s $10,830 peak weekend is $3,900 above its $6,930 off-season weekend; going off-season reduces the peak base by about 36.0%, while going from off-season to peak increases that smaller base by about 56.3%. The direction of the percentage matters.
Sleepy Hollow’s two weekend packages have different guest limits: 165 peak and 140 winter/off-season. A midweek micro package is another format, with 75 guests and one inn night.
Do not count its lower price as a saving on an unchanged 165-person weekend. Obtain the actual room, menu, lodging nights and cancellation terms for each proposed date.

Weekday and off-season pricing is where Vermont venues publish real differences. Seven Vermont venues publish enough to show what a different date does to the price, and the results are not what you would guess. Basin Harbor states a ceremony fee from $1,250 Monday to Thursday and from $2,500 on a peak weekend.
The Barn at Boyden Farm's dearest window is September to mid-October at $9,750, not midsummer. Sleepy Hollow charges $5,165 midweek, $6,930 off-season and $10,830 at peak.
The Old Gray Barn charges $3,500 to $5,000 in May and November against $5,000 to $8,500 from June to October. The Grafton Inn adds $500 to a midweek elopement in peak foliage. The Barn at Smugglers' Notch takes $4,000 off from November to April.
The Mansfield Barn charges $4,000 midweek and $6,000 on a Saturday. Everyone else publishes no date-based pricing, so a saving is a question to ask, not a fact to assume. Ask what a Friday costs.

The Barn at Boyden Farm: foliage costs more than summer
Its full weekend package is $7,095 in late spring, $8,350 from late June to late August and $9,750 from early September to mid-October. The dates that cost most are the foliage weeks. The shoulder windows at either end return to the lowest price.
That is one venue's schedule. It does not tell you what any other venue does. It does show that the most sought-after autumn dates are not the cheapest.
Weekday and Sunday weddings at Vermont venues
Three venues here publish a weekday figure. Basin Harbor's ceremony fee starts at $1,250 from Monday to Thursday and $2,500 on a peak weekend.
Sleepy Hollow sells a midweek package at $5,165. The Old Gray Barn prices a Friday at $5,000 against $8,500 for a summer Saturday.
If a venue states no weekday price, ask what a Friday or a Sunday would cost against the Saturday you were quoted. Some venues price by the day.

- Off-season wedding savings in Vermont: what to ask
- A saving is only a saving if the venue can host you. Ask for the last date it will run your space, and whether the indoor room is heated. See season.
Ask about guest travel too. A winter wedding trades a lower fee for slower roads. See Vermont wedding seasons.
How do I compare venue prices fairly?
Ask every venue for the same four things: the site or ceremony fee, the per-person package, the minimum spend and the tax. The cost structure page lists them, and quotes built the same way can be laid side by side.
Do off-season weddings include catering discounts?
At the Barn at Smugglers' Notch, yes: 10% off the food catering package as well as $4,000 off venue pricing.
Where do I see every published price?
Every figure a venue publishes is on venue and site fees and in the table on the cost structure page; Each figure is quoted from the venue's own site and dated.
Vermont fall foliage weddings: what venues charge for peak
Four Vermont venues print a higher price for peak dates, and the premium is not small. The Old Gray Barn charges $8,500 for a Saturday or foliage weekend against $5,000 for a Friday, which is 70% more. The Barn at Boyden Farm's foliage window, 4 September to 16 October, is $9,750 against $7,095 in its shoulder windows, 37% more.
Sleepy Hollow's peak weekend is $10,830 against $6,930 off-season. The Grafton Inn adds $500 to a midweek elopement between 14 September and 18 October. Everyone else quotes foliage dates individually.
The sun sets in Burlington at 6:07 pm on 16 October, so a 4:00 pm ceremony ends 97 minutes before it. Book the date first.
What four Vermont venues charge for foliage or peak dates
Every foliage or peak-date price a verified venue prints about itself, with the arithmetic beside it. Tax terms differ by venue.
- The Barn at Boyden Farm
- Weekend package, 4 September to 16 October; $9,750; Against $7,095 in the shoulder windows, 37% more.
- The Old Gray Barn
- Saturday and fall-foliage weekend dates, June to October; $8,500; Against $5,000 for a Friday, 70% more; a foliage Sunday is $7,500 against $5,000.
- The Grafton Inn
- Midweek elopement, 14 September to 18 October; $4,000; Against $3,500 outside those dates, 14% more.

- Peak-season weekend, 21 May to 20 October (not foliage-specific); $10,830 plus 9% tax; Against $6,930 off-season, 56% more.
The foliage premium in dollars, not percent
In dollars the premiums are $3,500 at the Old Gray Barn, $2,655 at the Barn at Boyden Farm, $3,900 at Sleepy Hollow and $500 at the Grafton Inn. The percentages are 70%, 37.4%, 56.3% and a fixed add-on.
A percentage makes a small base look dramatic and a large one look mild. Put the dollars next to your own budget line before deciding that the peak weekend is worth it.

Riverside Farm states that September and October are its peak months. Its price for them is by quote.
Two venues end their outdoor season before the leaves peak: Shelburne Vineyard's tent runs to late September, and Trapp Family Lodge's to mid-October. Ask both what the last date is for your space.
