Twin Farms weddings: reception versus dinner seating

Town BarnardType Historic & estate

Twin Farms’ named rooms distinguish reception from dinner capacity. The Lodge holds 50 for a reception but 30 dining; the Pub holds 50 for a reception and 40 dining. Lakeside Cabana has a 40-person reception figure. Choose the meal format and room before applying one resort-wide guest count.

Forty dinner guests fit different rooms differently

A hypothetical 40-person seated dinner reaches the Pub’s published dining figure and exceeds the Lodge’s by ten. The 50-person reception label on both rooms would not resolve that difference. The ski hill’s 40–60 ceremony-and-reception description and the eight-person Wine Cellar dining setting are other distinct arrangements on the venue page.

Twin Farms is a private estate in Barnard, and its wedding page describes a bucolic, relaxed setting for celebrations. Planner Verve Event Co. notes that, unlike larger resorts, Twin Farms hosts a very limited number of guests, and that the property has its own private ski hill that doubles as a ceremony spot.

Twin Farms: the setting, and what couples plan around
A small capacity is the point and the requirement. The estate suits a small, high-touch wedding, and a guest list beyond what the property lodges needs a plan for where everyone else sleeps in the Woodstock and Barnard area; What Twin Farms states.
Guest capacity
Receptions of up to 50 in the Lodge or the Pub, 40 at the Lakeside Cabana, 40 in the Main House dining room (60 maximum) ↗.

A six-person dinner is another distinct setting

The Chalet Living Room and Terrace entry describes six dining guests and 40 reception guests. That large difference makes the meal format essential when requesting this setting. Six people dining do not occupy it in the same way as a drinks gathering.

Twin Farms also gives its Wine Cellar eight dining or wine-tasting places, within a 200-square-foot room. Identify which meal is being arranged there rather than using the estate's larger celebration limit. The Main House dining room is separately listed at 860 square feet with 40 dining places and a maximum of 60. Those published room descriptions provide choices to discuss with the estate; they do not reserve the whole property or establish an accommodation allocation.
