An 11:00 pm limit is a fixed end time. Plan the last dance, the shuttle and the vendor pack-out inside it, and choose among the three rooms by lake view and headcount.

One has a high ceiling and a bank of picture windows over the lake with doors to the lakefront, the Morey Room has a very large dance floor, stage and sound system beside the lobby.

The Waterlot Room is on the lake level with sliding glass doors to the shore. Unless requested otherwise, six-foot round tables seating 10 are provided for dinner.

Table sizing is a useful number. A 10-seat round table sets how many tables a guest count needs, and the built-in bar, stage and sound system mean a band and DJ do not have to bring as much. Ask which of the three rooms your headcount uses and whether the lakefront doors can be part of the ceremony.

Match the room to the seated list and the clock

Lake Morey's four reception rooms have different limits: 60 in Edgewater, 100 in Waterlot, 180 in Morey and 250 in the Terrace Ballroom. A list of 170 leaves ten places below the Morey Room's stated maximum; adding 20 guests would take it above that room's limit and into a different space decision. The dance floor and service layout still need to be checked for the final number.

The five-hour rental period is another planning boundary. As an example, a reception beginning at 5:30 pm would reach five hours at 10:30 pm. An event beginning at 6:30 pm would reach five hours at 11:30 pm, after the resort's stated 11 pm indoor finish. Move the starting time earlier or agree a shorter schedule rather than assuming five hours can always be added to any start time.

Outdoor events have a 10 pm limit. A lakeside gathering followed by indoor dancing therefore needs an actual room transition and a timetable for moving guests, sound equipment and any remaining drinks service. Confirm which room stays reserved during that transition. The outdoor cutoff and the indoor cutoff describe different parts of the evening.
