Wedding venues in the Northeast Kingdom
The Northeast Kingdom shortlist here covers Jay Peak in Jay, Wildflower Inn in Lyndonville and Barn at Top of the World in Newport. Jay Peak prices named spaces separately; Wildflower distinguishes a 45-person rehearsal meal from larger planner-coordinated weddings. Barn at Top of the World separates its church ceremony and barn reception capacities.
A 120-person list exposes the ceremony difference
At Top of the World, a hypothetical 120 guests exceed the church’s 100-person figure by 20 while remaining below the barn’s 170. At Wildflower, a group over 50 needs the stated larger-event planning arrangement. Obtain the actual lodging and transfer plan for the chosen property rather than assuming the region has one price or travel profile.
| Venue | Town | Event details |
|---|---|---|
| Jay Peak Resort | Jay | Jay: individual settings span 18–250 guests. A $1,700–$7,000 rental range belongs to those different locations, rather than one identical package. |
| The Wildflower Inn | Lyndonville | Capacity: Up to 50 direct (kitchen-use gatherings); a separate rehearsal dinner is capped at 45; tented celebrations to 200+ with a required planner; Catering: The inn's kitchen serves celebrations of up to 50; larger weddings need a planner from the Vermont Association of Wedding Professionals |
| The Barn at Top of The World | Newport | Newport: church seating is 100, versus a 170-person barn. A guest list that works for the reception may therefore require another ceremony arrangement. |

Wedding venues in the Northeast Kingdom. Vermont's most remote three counties: compare Jay Peak’s named rental spaces, Wildflower’s planning requirement and Top of the World’s separate church and barn. The Kingdom is where a published price list exists, because these venues compete on being worth the drive.
Budget for the drive: this is the one region where guest travel, not venue cost, is the binding requirement. The kingdom's venues are far apart, so decide the shape of the weekend first. Jay Peak prices each space separately, from $1,700 to $7,000, and runs its Clubhouse Barn from June to September.
The Wildflower Inn hosts up to 50 directly and needs a planner from the Vermont Association of Wedding Professionals above that.

A regional shortlist does not establish the tax on a particular wedding invoice. Confirm the venue address, taxable meal and alcohol charges, lodging charges and applicable municipal rates for the event date. A town’s absence from a historic list is not a current exemption. Ask for service charges and tax to be itemised separately.
Assign the room block before the shuttle seats
For a Northeast Kingdom weekend, separate the reception list from the overnight households. If a hypothetical 100 guests occupy 40 rooms, the bedroom plan needs 40 confirmed reservations and the transfer plan still needs to carry every guest who travels. Include suppliers in the arrival instructions, and agree where a late arrival joins the group if the ceremony is away from the reception building.
Jay Peak illustrates the room distinction: the Clubhouse Barn is listed for 180 seated guests and the Foeger Ballroom for 250 with a dance floor. A 200-person dinner exceeds the barn figure by 20 even though it fits the ballroom figure. Name the intended room before comparing that capacity with another Northeast Kingdom venue.

- Cambridge and Jeffersonville, north of Stowe: working farmland and purpose-built barns under the mountain routes; check the booked property’s access and seasonal directions.
Jay's summit fee does not describe the reception
Jay Peak identifies Garden Valley Pond and the tram-access summit as ceremony settings, with different rental charges: $1,700 for the pond and $2,200 for Elevation 4000. The summit description includes tram tickets. That does not make either ceremony fee the price of a ballroom meal. Ask which reception room follows the ceremony and which transfer or boarding arrangements the offer includes.
For Newport, treat Top of the World's church as the limiting ceremony room when the same group attends both stages. Its 100 seats are distinct from the barn's 170-person event figure. Lyndonville's Wildflower proposal needs another clarification: its 45-person rehearsal dinner and its smaller directly arranged gatherings do not describe the planner-led tented celebration. Select those arrangements before comparing the three properties by price.
